Welcome to
Energy Arts Unlimited
Choose to become the very thing
that you wish to experience in your life.
My journey into the healing arts began in earnest in 1992. I had been through some challenging times that had left me literally drained of energy physically, emotionally, and mentally. My friend, Joan, had just completed a level one Reiki class and had come back to work very excited about her weekend. Reiki sounded like what I needed at the time and so I signed up for the next class. It was truly amazing and it did indeed change my life. I continued the study of this energy modality and as I did so, I became the "master of my own destiny". I began to seek out more information on healing and energy work and studied a variety of modalities including Touch for Health and Vitaflex. Both of these modalities increased my interest in acupressure and in the study of how energy moves in the body. I was amazed at how much we can influence our energy levels and health by working with certain acupressure points on the body.
I also had begun to go to conferences based on the readings of Edgar Cayce. These were held each summer in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada, which was very close to where I lived. These conferences were amazing and introduced me to wonderful people and ideas. I left these conferences each year renewed and filled with feelings of love and support. I thought to myself that it would be amazing to go to Virginia Beach in Virginia and participate in a conference held at the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.). This is the main headquarters where the Edgar Cayce readings are stored and some of the research based on his readings takes place. However, it seemed so far away from where I lived and worked that I thought of it only as a dream.
As my life progressed I met an amazing man who became my life partner and husband. Tom and I shared similar interests and we have become each other's best friend and support as we move together through life. It is interesting that in 1999 Tom was offered a job in, of all places, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Universe was certainly handling the details. By moving to Virginia Beach I was now able to follow my passion of moving full time into healing work. I knew it had to do with the A.R.E. and the Cayce/ Reilly school of Massotherapy that is located there. I began to study a form of acupressure known as Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® and became a registered practitioner in 2002 and then an authorized teacher of this modality in 2005.
I am now a nationally certified massage therapist and a lead instructor at the Cayce/Reilly school of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. I teach classes and workshops there in Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® and Asian Theory.
I offer a selection of services through my own business - Energy Arts Unlimited which is also located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For more information on the services I offer please link to "Book an Appointment".
I also work at the Edgar Cayce Center Massage & Day Spa (located in the original Edgar Cayce Hospital building) which is a historic leading provider of holistic health services. Here I offer both massage and acupressure as well as reflexology, reiki, and a variety of treatments based on Cayce's remedies.
Life certainly offers us many possibilities. I now know through personal experience that we are the ones who need to take responsibility for our own health and well being. This includes all aspects of our self - mind, body, and spirit. I invite you to explore these modalities with me to help you achieve your wellness goals.
Namaste!
